These Habits Will Relieve Stress

In this day an age everyone suffers from some sort of stress with the high demands of everyday life. The working-class people suffer from the most stress because of the long commute too and from work. These long painful hours sitting in traffic on the freeway every day add all sorts of stress to your life. These daily habits will make your life less stressful and your commutes more enjoyable

  1. Stretch, It Is Important

People underestimate how important stretching really is. Both for your body and ligaments and to your mental mind. Stretching not only prevents injuries but it also relieves a lot of tension and anxiety which is basically what stress is. While you are stuck in rush hour on your commute to or back from work is a great time to stretch out your upper body. This will not only feel good but also put you in a much better mood. While you are at it stretch out your lower body when you get home. Those of you who commute in NY and take the subway home, you can stretch your legs on the subway and also your upper body too. Stretching is so important that it is the first thing all animals do when they wake up!

2. Carpool with someone

This is a great habit for two reasons, the first is it will make your commute much more enjoyable since you won’t be alone. Being alone and make time go by a lot slower if you are bored and can’t really do anything but sit in traffic. If you ride the train or subway then this isn’t really a problem since you will always be accompanied by someone because you are basically carpooling already with a bunch of random people. But it is also great because you are helping by reducing traffic and reducing the amount of pollution that goes into the atmosphere. And one more thing you are also saving gas money! So carpooling is a win-win-win situation! Do It

3. Get Enough Sleep

Sleeping well is more about being proactive and preventing stress, not after you are all stressed out. Many people underestimate the amount of sleep needed or give importance to getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Only .0001% of the entire global population can live off less than 7 hours of sleep so that means you are probably not part of that select group. The average amount of sleep a person getting is six hours but what they don’t know is that sleeping less than 7 hours is actually killing you slowly. While a person sleeps their brain flushes out all the built-up toxins the were accumulated through the day. Not giving your brain the nearly time to flush out all the toxins is deadly and is estimated to give you Alzheimers when you are older.

4. Dream Big And Plan Ahead

Without a doubt dreaming big and goal setting is what will get you what you want in life and during your lonely commute is a great time to plan and develop ideas. Want to start a new business, make it a habit that during your commute you are coming up with various ideas or iterations of ideas or plan you already have made. Certainly, this will be easier if you commute on the subway because you don’t have to pay attention to driving but in the modern age its time to be modern if you what to get ahead. Use your iPhones technology and ask Siri to jot down your ideas into notes in your phone.

5. Listen to Podcasts/Audiobooks

My personal favorite is listening to podcasts or audiobooks. this can definitely go both ways, you can listen to something of value or you can listen to junk. This applies to both audiobooks and podcasts. Waht to get ahead of the competition in your indusrtr listen to podcasts about your industry. wnat to get better or improve a skill? Listen to audiobooks about self-improvement and you will see the great improvement you will make mentally. This also gives you a chance to read/listen and complete all your goals about reading your book per month.
